According to the Swedish Academy's dictionary, the definition of spex is as follows:
"Amateur-performed play performed by students or younger academics (disrespectful or hilarious) parodic play; or drama with historical motifs with breakneck anachronisms and with allusions to contemporary people and events"
The definition originates from the 19th century and is therefore an obvious part to manage in today's student life.
Alnarpsspexet performs spex in connection with the student union meetings. These spex are mostly pre-recorded films, with possible elements of live acting. Why not do a little bit about the different programs, teachers, SLU's different student unions or community-related events?
We give the students a good laugh while the members of the team develop acting, editing, scriptwriting, filming and collaboration.
Alnarpsspexet is an inviting committee where everyone can participate.
Spexet has an active Instagram page @alnarpsspexet and several of our spexes are available on YouTube @Alnarp_spexet.
The committee has an elective position in the union (chairman of the student council). The remaining participants are committed members who want to spread joy among the students.

The chairman of the Alnarpsspexet is responsible for the committee's activities, and thus has all contact with the union board and is responsible for the committee's budget. The chairman calls meetings, writes scripts in consultation with other participants, plans the recordings, delegates tasks, edits the final material and is in charge of social media. According to tradition, the chairman usually presents the spexet at its premiere.
