Union membership
Being a member of Alnarp's Student Union is a given for every student, and there are many advantages to being part of our union. Through membership, you not only get access to exclusive benefits and activities, but you also become an important part of our work to improve the quality of education and student life at SLU Alnarp.
What does it mean to be a member?
As a member, you have the opportunity to influence your education and study environment through our study monitoring. We work actively to ensure that the education at SLU Alnarp is of high quality.
As a member, you also get to take part in a range of activities and festivities that contribute to a memorable study time. From pubs and sit-ins to big events like “Småttingveckan” (our kick-off week) and the revived Magnoliafest.
The student union is your family at university.
Member benefits
Mecenat card: Your digital membership card in the Mecenat app gives you access to student discounts throughout Sweden.
The Cornell Scholarship: Opportunity to apply for or be nominated for a scholarship for one academic year at Cornell University in the USA.
Venue booking: As a member, you can book the union's premises free of charge and rent a sound system for a small fee.
Aron's House: Rent a house in Båstad, with room for overnight stays, all year round.
Union activities: You can attend all sit-ins, pubs and activities arranged by Alnarp's party committee as well as SLUSS unions' pubs on other SLU campuses.
Lectures and courses: Participate for free in lectures and courses arranged by the union's committees, such as the Dendrology Committee's activities.
Involvement: By getting involved in our committees, you contribute to a positive and social study time.
Why become a member?
To make an impact: Your membership fee helps us maintain a strong economy, which gives us the opportunity to create more activities and improve the study environment.
To get involved: Only members are eligible and allowed to vote at general body meetings. Being active in the body is also an excellent addition to your CV.
To be part of the community: We are stronger together and through membership you become part of our work to drive improvements at SLU Alnarp.
