Student culture
Like all other unions, Alnarp Student Union has its own traditions and characteristics that distinguish it from other unions.
Bream
The pride of the ascetic
Like a knight's armor, the breams are a part of the person they are worn by, an extension of oneself.
They are worn wet and dry.
Every stain, a richer memory.
Every brand, an adventure experienced.
No two breams are alike. An entire student life compressed into a masterpiece.
Union name
Being awarded a student union name is the most honorable thing a student union member can experience.
Anyone who has served the Corps well by holding a position, small or large, in one of the Corps' many committees or boards for an entire year has shown their loyalty.
In the eyes of the union, that person has served a higher purpose and is then awarded a union name by the Traditions Committee.
A student union name is as unique as the person who bears it.
The name reflects the person's personality, work ethic, drive, and refers to what distinguished them in their work in the corps.
After a baptism ceremony, known only to those being baptized, the corps member is born again where they enter the light as a new individual.
