Committees and committees
Being a student should be fun!
For us at Alnarp's student union, your time studying here at Alnarp is important.
We therefore want the time outside of school to be at least as rewarding.
For many, student life is a factor in the decision to start studying.
Alnarp Student Union has a large number of committees that invite you to various events on campus. Together, the committees contribute to a better social life for students.
The function of the committees is to provide an opportunity to get away from everyday life, which for a student is otherwise easily filled with lectures and exam cramming. To meet other students and
Finding like-minded people who are interested in the same things you do can provide a sense of security when you have just started studying and perhaps moved far away from home.
Many new friendships have been made during my time in the corps and there will be many more.

Being involved in a committee
All of our committees are managed and controlled by union members.
You don't have to be in a position to participate in their activities, you can
freely as a member to participate in events they organize.
All committees and committees have an approved chairperson who, together with the participants, arranges and holds activities for all union members.
Many committees have more than one chairperson. Together, they help to manage and plan activities to distribute the work.
Structure and organization may vary between committees depending on activities.
All union members can apply to take a position on a committee. The number of positions a committee has depends on the need and size of the committee.
You can read more about student union elections and holding a position in the student union here.
Your student life, your way
All members can suggest activities for the committees.
Maybe you have a perfect suggestion for an excursion destination for the outdoor recreation committee or maybe you know a delicious recipe for a cake that the student council can share.
The committees want to provide as wide a selection of activities as possible so that as many people as possible can have a better time while studying. Together we create the student life we want to experience.
Committees are constantly changing. It is never too late to restructure or break new ground.
It is not always the case that a committee has an appointed chairperson, the committee then becomes inactive, but at any time a member can choose to start it up again.
Dare to shape the committee the way you want.
Do you feel that there is a committee missing that affects your interests?
Talk to the board about starting a new one!
As a member, you can, with good justification, start a completely new committee.
Submit a motion before a union meeting so you can justify why.
